First off, Cam's new haircut! I have been trying to train Cameron's hair to push back out of his face, and even with some hair gel, it wasn't workin'. He would come off the bus w/ his hair in his eyes, and i just lept thinking that when he was sitting at his desk in school, his hair must constantly be in his eyes. so I made up my mind to get it cut. On Saturday, we went to the Supercuts near us and I asked the girl to give him a typical "boy" haircut...ya know, the kind w/ bangs and just over the ears. Well.... she just didn't get it; obviously because it looked as though she put a bowl around his head and cut. The bangs were at anangle down his face...what a mess. So, we left there, and i kept saying to myself, "oh my gosh, he looks like a girl"! WELL, Billy wasn't having it so after work he took him himself back to the same place and told her to give him a fade like he has. That means using the clippers on him and he did NOT want that, but after some coaxing from Billy, he gave in and let them do it...what a difference , he looks so much older!
well, you be the judge, here are before and after shots:
before:
after:
It took him a while to get used to it, but now he really likes it; especially all the attention he got at school. I was a little worried that he would get negative attention from some of the other children since it's in them to laugh and have fun. Thanks goodness that didn't happen.
Not much going on except that I have now lost TWELVE pounds!!! Not so easy either since I do 99% of the cooking around here. Trying to get back in that size 6 for Summer! Just trying to cook light and my nose is constantly reading the nutrition facts on the back of boxes. There is so much talk around here about 'fat free' and 'low calories, and 'sugar free', my kids pick up on it and the other day before taking a bite of her dinner, Samantha asked, "Is his fat-free Mommy"? hehe....
A funny from my witty 4 yr. old:
At the store the other day I told Samantha she could pick out a book. She picked out a Cupcake cookbook..all sorts of cupcakes for, of course Me to bake, and when we were back home she was looking at all the cute cupcakes and even came upon this beautiful wedding cake. She asked " Mom, when I get married to Daddy, will you bake this for me"? I thought that was so funny and sentimental for her to say.
Well, I'll try not to wait so long before posting again.
TTYL!

Great before and after hair cut pics.
Congrats on the weight loss.
AWESOME! It's like night and day! It's kind of sad to see them growing up so quickly. (sniff, sniff)
