Between work and play w/ the kids, there's just NO time. Although, we did have a pretty rainy month of June here, it hasn't really felt too much like Summer yet.The pool is open at a mere 75 degrees, too cold for me, but the kids still go in. Billy has been working a lot of OT since he has been promoted to major crimes and there has been a murder, 3 shootings, 2 stabbings. Everytime something happens in the city, they call him and his dept. in; even in the middle of the night....ugh this city is just going to hell!
The deck is coming along, (slow, but sure). At this rate, with all the crime that is going on, I predict it to be done next summer..
Last Saturday I worked a wedding that I was referred to by a friend. I worked independently (without my company), and it felt good to be out there on my own. The bride and I talked for a few months before and she wanted a nice sangria for her signature drink at cocktail hour before the reception. I researched a bunch of recipes and found one that I thought was nice and added a touch of triple sec to it. I actually made it for father's Day and loved it, so made it for the wedding.
She got married on the 4th of July, so I told her to get Reisling, white grape juice, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. It came out really good, people loved it and I ended up making 3 batches!
This Thursday Billy and I are celebrating TEN years together! We are going to Mohegan Sun for the night and Boston's lead singer is playing there. We are going to have lunch at Jimmy Buffet's on the patio, and dinner is reserved at Michael Jordan's Steak house..woot, so exciting! We are not much for gambling , but we will have fun!

Our pool warmed up a couple weeks ago in a heat wave and now it's back down to 75 degrees. Too cold for me too!
I know all about the rain it continues here at least we had and amazing 4th w/end. sorry to hear about the crime that bites.

Wonderful pages! I don't feel like we have had summer around here either. Still waiting for it to come and stay, lol. It comes for a day or 2 and then poof it is gone again!

We'll have to come check out that pool sometime. I feel so busy too - it's crazy!! I work 3 days a week and on my days at home, I babysit my nieces for my sister. Never a dull moment :)
